Geoffrey Hadley died from wounds on 12th November, 1914, after having been brought back to the United Kingdom but as yet, there is no information, as to when and where he was wounded. The 4th Dragoon Guards battalion was part of 2nd Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division that had arrived in France at the beginning of the war and had been involved in much of the fighting since that date.
